Through One Man: The Gospel

From the Book of Romans; The letters of Paul, The Apostle (Chapter 5)

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

          Through one man, Adam, sin entered into the world
          Through one Man, Jesus Christ our Lord,
          shall we be saved and washed from all sin

Looking at people makes me wonder about one question sometimes…

“What is your hope? Where do you think you will go if you die tonight?”

I ask myself many questions, and I find myself amazed on how much The Lord Himself has guided me to make me realized how lost I was before I even knew Him. How depraved I was in my soul for Peace, and Joy, and Relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. How… Indeed… wicked and evil were my deeds… the hidden secret sins… that I committed behind the scenes, and behinds the eyes of men and women… Thinking I was a good man… Thinking I would end up in a “better” place when I die… Only to realize, that IF I haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour… If I didn’t repented of my sins and place my trust upon what Jesus has done for me… My soul was heading straight to hell without question. The Grace of God, His mercy upon my life… was glorified in The Son and He saved me from His wrath against sin, when He accepted me into His presence… entering into a relationship with Him.

Death, the wages of sin… the payment… the punishment for the sin that has entered into this very world since the time when Adam and Eve sinned… Sin has permeated into all men and women alike…

            Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

The letters of Paul, The Apostle
Romans Chapter 5, verse 12

Heaven is indeed very real, the dwelling place of our Almighty God. At the end of the day, there would be an eternity that we would spend the afterlife at… either that we will dwell in God’s presence or not.

It’s either that we’ll be in the Kingdom of Light with God and everything that is good, pleasing unto The Lord, perfect and pure…

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me,

“It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
The Apostle John
The Book of Revelation,
Chapter 21, verses 1 to 7

OR

We will end up in a place where there is no God. no good things. A total separation from God’s Presence… a place where you would wish you would have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour when you had the chance… but didn’t… for eternity… over eternity… over eternity… you are tormented by the hopelessness in utter darkness…

“… And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. …”

The Words of Jesus Christ our Lord
The Book of Matthew
Chapter 8, verses 11 & 12

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The Apostle John
The Book of Revelation,
Chapter 20, verses 13 to 15

Hell is mentioned in the Bible, as well as Heaven. With significant distinguishable characteristics to give a glimpse of what is to come. It won’t be a place where one could make some happy club, or party all night long… it won’t be a place where people are given into lust for eternity… enjoying the lustful pleasures of sin… It is a place of judgement for your sins, the consequences of rejecting the One and Only True Way to God… The Lord Jesus Christ… the narrow gate that leads to life. Life eternal…

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The Apostle John
The Book of Revelation,
Chapter 21, verse 8

I’ve seen young men and young women; burning in their sin on earth… having a delusion in the pleasures of sin thinking it could fulfil the emptiness of their soul. The sin that has been passed down to all mankind… from the sin that Adam has committed… manifesting in the world even today.

The sinful nature of man, the wickedness in one’s heart and mind… even a person would be conscience and know about their own sin… feeling the condemnation and seeking for an answer in various ‘spiritual’ practices but still not having the peace and freedom from the sin that is dwelling in their lives… Some finds ways of escape and other distractions to avoid themselves from facing the reality of life… the failures… the wrong… the unforgiveness… the regrets of sin… having depression… a mind that is not at peace… having problem sleeping at night… hatred… the thought of murder… the need to feel powerful and in control… having fear of the things that is going on around this world at current times…

This is when the Good News comes in a new light of appreciation.

That there is a hope… not in this world that will be condemned and judge but in Jesus Christ our Lord…

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
The letters of Paul, The Apostle
Romans Chapter 5, verse 1

That believing our sins can be washed cleaned by the blood of Jesus Christ, that He shed His blood for the salvation of our soul… He died and was buried… on the third day, God rose Him back from the dead and He is still alive today that we might have a hope that we too can be alive with Him one day. And when we enter into the afterlife… for eternity we will be with The Lord Jesus Christ.

Repent of your sins. Turn away from them. Commit your life to follow and to serve Jesus. To be dependent on the His righteousness… For He became sin for us… taking the punishment that we should suffer for eternity… To give us a life that is filled with hope, peace and joy in God’s presence… To give us a hope for the things which are to come… Inviting Him into our lives, into our heart… Call upon His Name and surrender to Him. Only He can save you from the consequence of sin. Death. Eternal separation from God. Eternal torment.

            “… These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. …”

The Words of Jesus Christ our Lord
The Book of John
Chapter 16, verse 33

To have peace in Him, in our Lord Jesus Christ… believing that He came from God and is God Himself, manifested in the flesh… Being filled with the Holy Spirit and having the peace that only He can provide in this world that is passing by.

What is the Gospel?

Proverbs 17:15(NKJV)

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

The Judge shall be just... whereby if a criminal has broken the law... He or She is to be punished according to the severity of the crime committed. It doesn't matter what good deeds a person has done before or what great "nationally-acknowledge-achievement(s)" has been done... The Judge shall be just and the crime cannot be justified by the past good deeds... A 3rd degree murder shall be punished according by Law.

In essence... We were born sinners, full of lust... selfishness... in nature we are evil and wicked beings who personally knows that if we were to die tonight, we would end up in hell. God is not in our list to be put as a 'priority'... Lost without hope... As the world is going about its own way, we thought ourselves to compromise to certain 'known' sin... only to fall deeper into greater sin... greater rebellion against God. Within us a hunger for the spiritual... Seeking and trying to comprehend different religions... Only to realize, and to be unsure about whether after we die... Will our soul end up in heaven? or in hell? What will happen after death? Lacking the knowledge of the afterlife... Growing depressed in your own thoughts about the cares of this world and the hopelessness of it.

God is not impressed with your own 'conclusion' about life...

God cannot be reached by any means of science...

Neither could 'good deeds' nor 'being good' is good enough to buy yourself to heaven...

Because let's face it... If you compare yourself to the most "spiritual" person on earth... You know you're in deep trouble by your own sins... Which you are trapped in... Keep repeating of doing... Something that you wished you could stop... but couldn't... You know, your soul is heading to the fires of hell because deep inside of your heart, there is such a witness that God is Holy and He is a Good God... and He sits on a Throne of Judgement... and if He were to Judge upon your sins... You have no defense, because now you know that even your past good deeds could not excuse the wickedness of sins you have committed for your whole life up unto the point you come into realization the consequences are catching up on you AND now you are facing The Judgement Seat... There is only heaven or hell... and you're afraid to be thrown into hell. Even you yourself are sick looking at your own disgusting sin.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4(NKJV)

The Good News is... Someone has paid the full price of the punishment we all were to go through,,, The sad and ironic part is, many has chosen to disregard Him... This is what happened...

Romans 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

God’s Judgment Defended

What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written:
“That You may be justified in Your words,
And may overcome when You are judged.”
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.) Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world?
For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”?—as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.

All Have Sinned

What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
10 As it is written:
“There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
12 They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.”
13 Their throat is an open tomb;
With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;
“The poison of asps is under their lips”;
14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

God’s Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[h] who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

That GOD might be JUST... and the JUSTIFIER of the one who has FAITH in JESUS CHRIST our LORD...
When The Lord Jesus Christ carried His Cross... every single mockery... the torment He went through having given a crown of thorns... chastised... shamed at... left alone to suffer the humiliation... being INNOCENT of the crime that was accused towards Him... He had no sin to begin with, He was born of God... Being The Only Begotten Son of God, The Father. Jesus Christ our Lord... was crushed in our sin.

King James Bible
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
New International Version
Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

It was for us, our sins... Jesus Christ... The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins. If He wouldn't die on that cross, we would have no other hope to cling on to... There would be no other Way, there could be no one who would please and satisfy the Justice of God.

Sin must be punished... God is not letting you go because He just wants to fill up heaven... God is not going to be kind as others define kind as a judge turning a blind eye towards the convicting of the murderer... The lies... the adultery... the lustful heart and wickedness we bore against others... the murdering mind we harbor in our head... the jealous heart we had to take pleasure on the downfall of others... Evil and selfish attitudes... These sins must be punished... because our God is a Good and Just God... He can not be bribed...

The Son of Man... walked on Earth... lived His life not for Himself but for others... That those 'others' might know His Father... Being Himself having the very nature of God Himself... For He was With God and is God... The Lord Jesus Christ called for us to repent of our sins for the Kingdom of God is at hand. He Himself paid for our sins that we might be saved from the fires of hell. He Himself bore the punishment of sin... Being crushed... and even upon the very second he was about to die cried out for forgiveness upon our lives because we do not understand what we are doing.

It's like the picture of a courtroom... When you the murderer has been sentenced to death... By means of mandatory hang until death... Someone else comes and say "I will pay for his / her crime, let everything that was suppose to befall this person be upon me... I will bear the curse, I will bear the torment, I will bear the shame, I will bear the death penalty." That is a vague picture of it.

Romans 10:13King James Version (KJV)

John 3:16King James Version (KJV)

If you would turn away from your sins... Repent of your sins... put your Faith for what Jesus Christ did for you... acknowledging His Lordship... That He is The Lord Jesus Christ... Whom died on the cross for your sins, He was buried... But death could not contain Him, He rose again on the 3rd day and is now seated in Heaven having being witnessed by the hundreds upon his ascension towards Heaven being seated on the Right Hand of God... Promising to come back once again... Believing in The Good News... That your sins can be pardoned, forgiven, washed cleaned by the Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord... Being brought out from the kingdom of darkness born-again into the Kingdom of God... I'm telling you, the angels in heaven would rejoice for every soul that is saved... If... you repent of your sins and putting your Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ of what He has done for you on the cross.

What is love?

No... None of this... Seriously, I'm not gonna write something "cheesy"

Let us see a story... once upon a time...

After this Absalom the son of David had a lovely sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. Amnon was so distressed over his sister Tamar that he became sick; for she was a virgin. And it was improper for Amnon to do anything to her. But Amnon had a friend whose name wasJonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother. Now Jonadab was a very crafty man. And he said to him, “Why are you, the king’s son, becoming thinner day after day? Will you not tell me?”
Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”
So Jonadab said to him, “Lie down on your bed and pretend to be ill. And when your father comes to see you, say to him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me food, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see itand eat it from her hand.’” Then Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill; and when the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let Tamar my sister come and make a couple of cakes for me in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”
And David sent home to Tamar, saying, “Now go to your brother Amnon’s house, and prepare food for him.” So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was lying down. Then she took flour and kneaded it, made cakes in his sight, and baked the cakes. And she took the pan and placed them out before him, but he refused to eat. Then Amnon said, “Have everyone go out from me.” And they all went out from him. 10 Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom, that I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them to Amnon her brother in the bedroom. 11 Now when she had brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister.”
12 But she answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me, for no such thing should be done in Israel. Do not do this disgraceful thing! 13 And I, where could I take my shame? And as for you, you would be like one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”14 However, he would not heed her voice; and being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.
15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”
16 So she said to him, “No, indeed! This evil of sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me.”
But he would not listen to her. 17 Then he called his servant who attended him, and said, “Here! Put this woman out, away from me, and bolt the door behind her.” 18 Now she had on a robe of many colors, for the king’s virgin daughters wore such apparel. And his servant put her out and bolted the door behind her.

"Seriously.... That's just too much... There's record of a crime of rape in the Bible??"

So this is the reality, people make decisions based on "the-love-factor" that somehow over-rides the fact that their sinful actions could bring them some bad consequences in life that they would later regret... If you were to ask a non-Christian or a non-believer... they would probably believe that rape is wrong, inhumane and it's a sin. Some of them would go to the extent to actually want these rapist to be judge under the death penalty or even die a gruesome death as punishment.

There is a difference between The Love of God whereby God Himself became flesh... became man and walking as a Man, totally dependent of the Holy Spirit, praying in such Faith to The Father in Heaven up to the point every single prayer He has prayed was answered... That Man, is The Lord Jesus Christ. DYING on the cross for your sins, paying the wages of sin in your place... Being a propitiation for you...

"... Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once..."

The Holy Bible, the 1st Epistle of Corinthians, Chapter 15

The lust of one's heart that is often said to be "love" is often abused into something of an "excuse" to sin. according to our text, we see Amnon says “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.” Now... It's not the pure love that is to be confused when God talks about His Love. This is (in layman terms) an emotional and a-bag-of-feeling of love whereby Amnon is saying "I have this feeling of lust towards Tamar, therefore... I can't control my emotions... So, I'm gonna do as I please..." Which is blatant sin.

Often, people (even young couples) would make decisions in life based on "feelings" and "emotions" in relationships making it look like "THE POWER OF LOVE" made us do this... "We couldn't control ourselves... We both know sexual relationship is sinful... but we 'love' each other..." This 'excuse' does not justify the sinful act. In fact, lustful emotions and feelings are not to be set higher than God Almighty Himself, and this is no laughing mater. The Bible clearly states:

"... Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. ..."

The Holy Bible, the 1st Epistle of Corinthians, Chapter 6

One can not make an excuse of their own sin after having a built-in conscience or even a knowledge of the Truth... If one would know the Truth about God's statues and commandments, that would be even worst... Sin will bring fruit towards consequences that are sometimes irreversible. In fact... After Amnon's crime... He was murdered... And if one would study the Bible in the same context, one would notice the reason of such sin to be birthed in the first place was rooted in a sinful act... Which snowballed to bad situations, worse and worse and worst situations to be in fact.

How should one differentiate between Lust and Love?

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.

The Holy Bible, the 1st Epistle of Corinthians, Chapter 13

  1. Love is patient (suffers long)... Amnon wasn't even close to patient... He didn't want to wait for the 'marriage' he just wanted to fulfill his lustful desires.
  2. Love is kind... Amnon,,, wasn't kind... simple
  3. Love does not behave rudely... What Amnon did was not only just rude... He forced Tamar...
  4. Love does not seek its own, Amnon... seriously did not weigh on what the other person wanted, Tamar has mentioned about marriage that Kind David would not disagree on such matrimony... Amnon on the other hand sought for his own way of doing things... He was burning in lust... not love
  5. Love... thinks no evil... What Amnon did was evil and wicked. It as wrong... it was sin.

There is always hope in Christ, God is able to help someone who is willing to surrender to Him and repent of any lust that would bring harm to others or even themselves.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

The Books of Romans, Chapter 5

One must be born again, one must be saved... one must received The Holy Spirit Whom was given to us... to be able to have that capacity of Love... To the hopeful do not be weary, because...

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

The Words of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Book of Luke Chapter 11, verse 13.

To those who are willing to repent and turn away from their sins, and put their trust unto Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior... Being submitted unto His Lordship and Authority, hence being under His Protection AND Blessing... of Peace and Joy... Having that assurance that Heaven is your home... grafted into the Children of God, having the Spirit within to be able to call God "Abba"... Unto Him be the Glory... There is hope in The Lord Jesus Christ.

Let not your heart be harden towards The Word of God being burned in your own sinful lust... The Bible says, flee from youthful lust! I would rather offend you reader and tell you that the lust that drives you to commit fornication or adultery being confused between what is lust and what is love... that sin will be judged if it goes without repentance... God is willing to forgive you of your sins and wash you clean if you were to humble yourself... resist from hardening your own heart towards His calling towards repentance AND accepting Jesus into your heart, into your life into your very being that resonates your heart.

God is not impressed with excuses that one can not let go of lustful emotions or feeling, continuing in transgression and offending The Lord. God is not impressed with you making 'so-called-love' to be more powerful and 'feeling-right' more than the TRUTH written in His Commandments, His Word, The Holy Bible. He has prepared a rescue plan for you, to save you from your sins. It's not your fault that you were born in such a messed up world... But it would be your fault if you resist to accept the fact that you indeed need a Savior... to break away from the chains of sin. You need The Lord Jesus Christ. You need to get your soul saved from the coming Judgement.

To my brethren, let us finish the race together. Amen.
